About IEC Chesapeake
Overview
The IEC Chesapeake Chapter is part of a national trade association that represents 3,000 electrical contractors in 60 chapters across the U.S. IEC Chesapeake itself has more than 100 contractor members, as well as over 40 partner members, which consist of distributors, industry associates, manufacturer representatives, and safety consultants with members spanning the areas of Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. IEC Chesapeake is active in the areas of Apprenticeship, Continuing Education, Governmental Affairs, Low Voltage, Networking, Renewable Energy, Safety, and Workforce Development. IEC Chesapeake is a NABCEP approved service provider for administering the Entry Level PV exams. IEC Chesapeake's roster of classes have included Introduction to the Solar Electric Market, NABCEP PV Entry Level Prep (20-hour and 40-hour formats); NABCEP PV Installer Certification Prep (16-hours), PV Systems and the NEC, SRECs, PV Solar Design, Solar Hot Water Systems, Troubleshooting and PV Racking, with additional classes being developed.
