Join IREC
Since 1982, IREC, a non-profit, membership-based organization, has brought together the best and the brightest technical and policy minds to identify and address difficult renewable energy issues.
IREC's mission is to accelerate the sustainable and responsible utilization of renewable energy sources and technologies and to promote safe, quality renewable energy products and fair practices. IREC provides a national forum in which public and private organizations involved with renewable energy may gather, disseminate and exchange information and engage in cooperative efforts.
IREC's membership model is similar to that of PBS: all of our frequently-used and cited materials are available to anyone at any time, free of charge. By joining IREC, you will become part of a group of dedicated individuals committed to making sure renewable energy becomes commonplace in every community. IREC's main funding sources are federal and state grants for specific tasks. Your IREC membership helps us leverage that funding to continue providing invaluable resources, like IREC's Connecting to the Grid Guide, Renewable Energy Training Best Practices, our Model Rules for Net Metering, Interconnection, and Community Renewables. IREC's work is still all about making sure renewables are here to stay, and not just the flavor of the month. Jane Weissman, IREC's Executive Director since 1996 is a large part IREC is so highly respected and successful today.2012 marks IREC's 30th year, and we're already thinking about how to celebrate our birthday. Won't you join us, and help us continue moving sustainable markets for clean and renewable energy into communities like yours?
