Ideas drive measurable change, and for nearly 30 years, IREC has been doing just that:  coming up with ideas that have resulted in measurable change in the renewable energy space.

So far in 2011, IREC has…

• Participated in net metering and interconnection regulatory proceedings, rulemakings and workshops in more than 43 states;
• Updated our highly respected model Rules and Procedures for Interconnection, Net metering, and Community Renewables;
• Organized the fourth national Clean Energy Workforce Education Conference in March 2011 in Saratoga Springs, NY;
• Released the sixth edition of our Connecting to the Grid Guide;
• Published the U.S. Solar Market Trends report, this the sixth;
• Approved four job task analyses (JTAs) for weatherization and energy efficiency;
• Improved our website, including updating the online training catalog and university directory offering renewable energy and energy efficiency training and education in the U.S.; and
• We were part of the 2010 Freeing the Grid team.

Not bad. But we’re only half way through 2011.  There’s so much more to do.

Your support helps us continue to tackle the hard issues and keep at them until they’re resolved. We stay ahead of the curve and keep our eye on new trends and how they might influence an accelerated transition to renewable energy. We get a jump on what the next hot issue is, and how best to prepare for it. Our single goal is to accelerate the sustainable transition to renewable energy by bringing you up-to-date information, news, quality reports and services that you have come to expect and depend on from IREC.
